This just an idea for a front cover at the start the colours were to pastel like and they need to be made more bold and stand out.

Final Wine Label
This is my final wine label below. I have done both front and back information on separate labels. I have showen using photoshop how it may look on the bottle and also how it may look if it was on a box and sold in this way.
Development on wine label
I have added some typography on top of images to see which would work out the best. I think the second one is the one that has worked out the best. I will now develop it more.

Images on wine label
I have decided to have some form of image or background onto my label to make it more interesting to look at yet also catching to the buyers eye. I will be using the colours red white and green as they are the colours of the Italian flag. With the influence from the wine label avelisa, montepulciano d'abruzzo from my earlier research I will not be using full images, I will be using shapes or outlines.
Some ideas I have come up with are, using maybe outlines from the map of Italy. Shapes from Italian foods, like pizza, pasta and maybe some grapes as this is a wine label.
Below are some ideas I have come up with.

Using Dafont.com to help with typography
After doing my research on wine bottles and Italian typography I decided to use script writing for the brand name for my wine label. These are some of the fonts I might use.
More italian wine research
While doing my research I found that Abruzzi is popular places for wine making. Chieti, L'Aquila, Pescara and Teramo are places in Abruzzi that make wine.
"Abruzzi ranks 14th among the regions in size (10,749 square kilometres) and in population (1,250,000).
Vineyards cover 30,000 hectares (13th) of which registered DOC plots total 9,800 hectares (12th).
Annual wine production of 3,800,000 hectolitres (6th) includes 8.5 per cent or 320,000 hectolitres DOC."
I have got this information from http://www.made-in-italy.com/winefood/wine/regions/abruzzo.htm
I have decided that my wine will be made in L'Aquila as this is the regional capital.
After reading up on the Azienda Agricola Masciarelli Winery I found that Cabernet Franc are a red grape found in L'Aquila wine. ( http://www.snooth.com/winery/azienda-agricola-masciarelli/ )
I found this information about Cabernet Franc on Wikipedia. "Italy
By 2000 there were over 17,300 acres (7000 ha) of Cabernet Franc in Italy. However, the grape variety is commonly confused with both Cabernet Sauvignon and the ancient Bordeaux grape Carmenere so the true acreage may not be known till more vineyards have been surveyed by ampelographers.[3] It is mostly planted in the far northeast of Italy, particularly in Friuli, but it is also found in the wines of the Veneto (where is known as Bordo), as part of some Chianti blends, even as far south as Puglia.[5] Plantings of Cabernet Franc in Tuscany have been increasing in recent years, particularly in the Bolgheri and Maremma region where the grape is prized for the balance and elegance that it brings to blends. Italians wines often labeled simply as "Cabernet" tend to be primarily Cabernet Franc or a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.[3]"
After reading this I came up with a name for my wine. Cabernet Rosso which just means Cabernet Red.
